About Me

(I consider this to be the real "About Me" page, relating to this specific blog. If you read a post of mine, at the bottom was likely a link to my "Profile" on Google Plus, which I dislike, so I have set that up to send you here. Get it? Okay, so about me...)

I am being forced under threat of possible demerits to write this blog so as you can see, I am putting minimal effort into this “About Me” page. Seriously. I don’t even care. But to make it a bit more bearable and less torturous I have chosen a topic for my weekly blogs. No, this is not the Bob Loblaw Law Blog, and if you get that reference, you are my new best friend. We will hang out all the time and watch Arrested Development and build robots and do homework and play soccer and read Bibles and go to college together at Stanford to become engineers and become rich and famous and powerful and take over the world with Terminator robots!!!!!

Oh wait, you don’t want to do that? That’s just me? Okay, fine.

Where was I?

Oh right, my topic! Yeah it’s going to be about Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, currently starring Colin Jost and Michael Che, two bland hosts that pale in comparison to the greats that preceded them, like Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Jane Curtin, Dan Aykroyd, Norm MacDonald (the best), Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers. Man that’s some good company to be in but really tough to compare to. I mean these guys are doing fine but it’s not too memorable. The most memorable moments come when they have hilarious guests being interviewed, the best of these being Taran Killam’s Jebidiah Atkinson. So, you might find my blogs, which are reviews, analyses, and fact-checkings of the Weekend Updates to be harsh, cruel, and maybe even a bit mean-spirited. I will be honest when something makes me laugh, as I am a fair and even-handed judge of Weekend Updates. So you will see honest commentary on these Updates. I will discuss the best and worst, but exclude those which I deem inappropriate or completely unfunny, as I am a teenager writing for a Christian School, and I wish to shield them for the evil horrors that can be the SNL Weekend Update. If, by some unfortunate situation, there is no Weekend Update on a certain week, or the Weekend Update was just horrible or not noteworthy, I may choose to not even discuss the Weekend Update. I may discuss other Weekend Updates from the past (good ones!) or discuss other aspects of SNL that relate to modern news stories.

So, without further ado, behold the “Fake News!”

(You may now view my blogs. WARNING: certain content may be perceived as biased, cruel, or stupid. I say perceived, because often times there can be a misperception of the message I am trying to get across. Please don’t take it personally if I “insult” you, your beliefs, lifestyle, choices, hair color, etc. I’m just trying to get an “A” in the class.)

Also, you may notice that the blog itself is a bit bland. Simple, you might say. Well, that's the point. You are supposed to focus on the words, not the presentation. I will likely update the blog design over the next weeks and months, but I'm just experimenting a bit so bear with me.
